it was fun! didn't have the best questions prepped, but it's great to have a forum to chat on this stuff and build off others. thanks for putting it together!
Matej!! Today was super insightful! Thanks for doing those things 🙂 See you next week!
it was really good, you had a large group and questions ran over
Check out one of the questions below:
I have several questions, but one of those is right now, like which networks are you seeing that are working best for casual games? I'm always wondering about TikTok because when I met with people, they're always mentioned on TikTok, but I don't know if it's the best for casual games. And then I was also wondering if you could share maybe like some benchmarks for casual games, maybe like ROAS or even CPIs that you are getting just, so I can have like some idea of the numbers be looking at.
Matej
okay, let's start with the best-performing UA channels for casual games. So for Android, I still have Google ads as the best performer, and then depends if it's match3 or Merge or any other casual game, it's definitely Unity up there and Applovin is up there. Facebook is absolute shit in the last 6 months, well, I was always talking about it. kind of dying quickly, but now it's even worse.
And I wanted to say this, Q5 everybody was kind of looking for this year, it never happened. And it's serious, we were expecting lower CPIs in January as every year. This year didn't happen, at least across like five or six different accounts I see. But anyway.
In terms of iOS, Facebook kind of makes still sense. And then we have Unity, Applovin quite strong. TikTok right there in the mix is not like the best thing that ever happened. It can work quite well even for the female audience. You just need to think about the different targeting options. So you don't target the young audience there. It's 18+, but you just move the targeting options a little bit higher and then like 25+, 35+.
